Virginia - 1800 feet
There is a strip of land along the Shenandoah National Park from just south of Front Royal to the Roanoke area that is visible. Behind that on the West Virginia border, the Thomas Jefferson National Forest is above water. From Roanoke west is still visible as well.

NOTE: The highest tsunami recorded was 1720 feet in Lituya Bay, Alaska.
