Chapter 3 -
Wife's father, his brothers and sisters and their family

Fred Leland Bowman who was born on March 14, 1922. He married Hilda Mae Pugh on December 13, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. Fred was in the Army and stationed there at the time of their marriage. They later moved to Lisbon, Ohio where they lived. Hilda lived with Fred's mother and father; Clayson Lee Bowman and Winnie Grace Gromley until Fred finished being in the Service. Fred's mother and father gave Fred and his brother Franklin an acre of their land. Fred built a house and a garage and they lived next door to his mother and father. They lived a mile and a half outside of Lisbon on State Route 30. The year that dad built the house was 1952. Fred was an electrician.

Memories from his daughter Donna are: "I remember Dad building the basement and we lived down there for awhile. Then Dad built the next floor up and then he added the top floor. I remember sitting on the bottom step of the steps that went up to the top floor and watching my Dad work. We didn't move up to the rest of the house until he finished the top floor.

Hilda Mae Pugh’s parents were William Mickey Pugh and Edna Belle Smell.

Fred and Hilda Bowman's children are: Fred Leland Bowman, Jr., Barbara Jean Bowman, Richard Leonard Bowman, Wayne Dale Bowman, Donna Jean Bowman, Sandra Lynn Bowman, Bruce Edward Bowman, and Clayson Lee Bowman.

Fred Leland Bowman was an electrician. Fred and Hilda Bowman got a divorce on January 13, 1966.

Fred Leland Bowman then married Rose Marie LaManna Lenkey on August 25, 1970. She was born on February 22, 1928. Rose's first marriage was to Steve Lenkey and they got married on June 14, 1947. Fred was her second husband. Rose's parents are John LaManna who came from Italy in 1913. He married Stella Edenhouse on December 20, 1940. She was born on August 30, 1910. John and Stella's children are: Katie LaManna who was born on November 17, 1922, Mary LaManna who was born on March 19, 1925, and Rose Marie LaManna. Steve and Rose's children are: Tina Marie Lenkey and John Steven Lenkey. Fred and Rose still live in the same house that he built.

When Hilda and Fred got a divorce, Hilda moved to Warren, Michigan. She met a man there called Jim Didorosi. They got married. She worked at a mushroom factory. She had a heart attack and died on September 10, 1970 at the age of 43. She is buried at the Meadow Crest Cemetery in Michigan.

Franklin George Bowman who was born on November 27, 1919 in Salem, Ohio. Rev. Paul T. Gerrard married Franklin to Violet L. McGeehen on August 26, 1946 in Lisbon, Ohio. She was born on November 9, 1924 in Wellsville, Ohio. Her parents were Thomas Albert McGeehen who was born on October 16, 1899. He married Flossie Bell Dye on March 9,1921. She was born on June 14, 1901. Thomas worked in a lab at Buckeye Coal. Thomas and Flossie lived on Road 872, Rt)#l, south of Lisbon, Ohio. They owned three acres. Thomas Albert McGeehen died in October of 1963. Flossie Bell lived in their home for years. She finally went to live with her daughter Violet in her later years. I don't know this for sure but I believe that Flossie B. McGeehen signed over her home and land to her daughter Violet Bowman on April 15, 1997. At this time Flossie owned 1.980
acres. She had a one story house that was built in 1951. I found this information in the site for the Columbiana County Auditor on the internet. It doesn't come right out and say that she signed it over but I believe that she did. I could be wrong. The road 872 is called Applegate Road. Her address was 37457 Applegate Road, Lisbon, Ohio.

My memories of her are: I called her Grandma McGeehen. She was the happiest person that I knew growing up. She always had something sweet or silly to say when she greeted you. I felt pretty special when I was around her. That is just the way she made you feel. She was so bubbly all of the time. She was that way with everyone. She just kind of took you under her wing. She was so full of love for everyone around her.

Flossie died on March 25, 1997. Flossie lived in Patmos, Columbiana County, Ohio and died in Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio.

Franklin and Violet Bowman lived on the acre that his parents gave to him for a while, that was next door to us and then they finally moved to 29575 Mountz Road, Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio. They own 72 acres. They have a big two story farm house. It was built in 1960. The land use is 101 cash-Grain or General Farm. Franklin was a machinist and worked at the Deming Mfg. Co. in Salem, Ohio.

My memories are: I spent a lot time over at my Aunt Violet and Uncle Frankie's house. Usually one of us would go over to their house while one of them would come to our house. It was like they were trading. Our family's did that a lot. We did it mostly in the summer. It was like being one big family. When we stayed over we joined in with the kids and did what they did. We played in the barn and played games and we all worked in the fields and around the house. Being at their house was the happiest times for me. Aunt Violet is my favorite Aunt. They are very special, warm, caring and loving people. They have a big old farm house and a big old barn and lots of land to move around on.

Their children are:

James Edward Bowman who was born on July 28, 1947. He married Brenda King on June 26, 1968. She was born on March 26, 1949. Her father is Carl King. He married Walda Gilbert. She was born on August 8, 1932. Their children are: James Edward Bowman II who was born on October 14, 1968, and Jennifer Lynn Bowman who was born on July 14, 1972. Jennifer married Chris Marquardt. They had three girls and they were: Christine Marquardt who was born in June of 1996; Autumn Marquardt who was born in 2003; and Kathryn Marie Marquardt who was born on February 28, 2005. James and Brenda Bowman live at 5227 Monroeville Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

George Thomas Bowman (Franklin George and Violet Bowman's son), was born on February 21, 1949. He married Charlotte Louise Berg on August 11, 1973. She was born on January 3, 1948. Her parents are Charles Lewis Bert who was born on September 30, and Alice Alberta who was born on August 16. George and Charlotte Bowman live at 1510 Southeast Blvd., Salem, Ohio. They have a house that was built in 1953 and it is a one story. Their children are: Michelle Lyn Bowman who was born on November 23, 1977 and Scott Thomas Bowman who was born on February 16, 1982.

June Ann Bowman (Franklin George and Violet Bowman's daughter), who was born on June 30, 1950. She married David Arthur Drevlow on December 30,1978. His father is Rev. Arthur Drevlow. Both June and David are missionaries. June and David's children are: 1.) Elizabeth Drevlow who was born on March 13,1980; 2.) Amy Lynn Drevlow who was born on December 18,1981;and 3.) Lisa Drevlow. June and David eventually went to a Vai town called Buluma, in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. All three children were born there. June and David and family are back in the states now. David Franklin Bowman, (Franklin and Violet Bowman's son), was born on September 12,1951. David married Jacqueline Elaine Newland on August 9, 1975. She was born on January 14, 1955. Her father is James E. Newland. David built a nice little house on 9391 Wayne Bridge Road, Lisbon, Ohio. The road ran a ways behind our house. There was our house, than our big garden, than a big orchard, than a pond and last a big stripmine and than the Wayne Bridge Road. Their children are: Eric Michael Bowman who was born on November 17, 1977, and Kevin Allen Bowman who was born on October 30, 1980. David and Jacqueline got a divorce. Jacqueline's nickname was Jackie.

On September 16, 1989, David married Jane Ann Frommelt. She was born on September 12, 1957. Her parents are George and Harriet Frommelt of 4185 Claridge Drive, Austintown, Ohio. David works at General Motors in Lordstown and Jane has a degree in nursing from Youngstown State University and is a registered nurse specializing in intravenous therapy at the Western Care System's Southside Medical Center. David built a log cabin at 9235 Lisbon Road, Canfield, Ohio.

Recently David and Jane moved to Florida.

Patty Mae Bowman, (Franklin and Violet Bowman's daughter), was born on May 12, 1952. She married Frank Reed and they had one son Franklin Lamar Reed. They then got a divorce. Patty then married Tac Ong. They have one son who is Justin Alan Ong. He was born on December 6, 1987.

Mary Louise Bowman, (Franklin and Violet Bowman's daughter), was born on September 9, 1954. She married Barry Lee Bishop on February 21, 1976. He was born on November 13, 1954. Their children are:
1.) Shannon Marie Bishop who was born on May 20, 1981.
2.) Shawn Micheal Bishop who was born on April 4, 1984.
3.) Stephanie Lee Bishop who was born on January 28, 1987.

Mary and Bishop built a house on land that belongs to Mary's parents. They live next door to Mary's parents. Their address is 29745 Mountz Road, Salem, Ohio. Their house sets way back from the road. Her brother Larry's house sets in front of her house and it is up by the road.

Karen Sue Bowman, (Franklin and Violet Bowman's daughter), was born on January 16, 1957. She married Alan Dale Lewis on July 14, 1979. He was born on September 8, 1959. His father is Dale Lewis. Karen and Alan's children are:
1.) Lorraine Sue Lewis who was born on June 15, 1980.
2.) Stacy Lewis who was born on November 3, 1981.
3.) Cassie Ann Lewis who was born on July 28, 1983.
4.) Cristina Marie Lewis who was born on July 28, 1986.

Karen and Alan live at 15022 Emerick Road, Kensington, Ohio. The house was built in the year of 2000. The land use is 101 Cash -Grain or General Farm. They own 12.629 acres.

Dale Paul Bowman, (Franklin and Violet Bowman's son), was born on February 26, 1958. He married Cindy Keller on June 30, 1984. She was born on October 14, 1958. Their children are: Danielle Dyanna Bowman who was born on February 21, 1990, and Daynna Brooke Bowman who was born on May 26, 1993. Paul and Cindy live in Lisbon, Ohio.

Larry Dean Bowman, (Franklin and Violet Bowman's son), was born on September 3, 1961. He married Sherri Ann Lasky on June 18, 1983. Their children are: Jasin Dean Bowman who was born on December 22, 1984, and Timothy Alan Bowman who was born on May 5, 1987. Larry and Sherri live in a house that sets in front of Mary's house on 29377 Mountz Road, Salem, Ohio. Larry owns one acre of land. The house was built in the year of 2002.

Lee Edward Bowman who was born on September 30, 1923 in Akron, Ohio. He married Wanda Lee Hinerman on June 21, 1944. Rev. T.P. Laughner married them. They were married in Leetonia, Ohio. Wanda was born on September 27, 1925 in Leetonia, Ohio.

Wanda's father is Bernard E. Hinerman and her mother is Minnie Gray. Bernard was born on March 30, 1902. He is an Electrician at Mullins Mfg. Co. They live at RD#1, Leetonia, Ohio. He died in May of 1968. His wife Minnie Gray was born on September 24, 1905. She died on October 27, 1998. She died in Columbiana, Columbiana County, Ohio. They had a general farm.

Wanda's brothers and sisters are:
1.) Mae Marie Hinerman who was born on May 14, 1923. She married a man by the name of Rakestraw.
2.) Wilma Elaine Hinerman who was born on October 28, 1927. She married a man by the name of Allgood.
3.) Thomas Raymond Hinerman who was born on March 15, 1930. He married Arilla. Thomas died on August 2, 1960.

Lee Edward Bowman died on October 11, 2001. He was still living with his wife, Wanda, at 847 Fairfield Ave., Columbiana, Columbiana County, Ohio at the time of his death. Their children are:

Lee and Wanda Bowman's children are:

a) Nancy Lee Bowman who was born on April 28, 1945. She married Robert Thomas Nell on December 23, 1966. They live at 2735 Pritchard Ohltown Road, Warren, Ohio. Their house was built in the year of 1974. They own 8 acres. Their house is a two story. Their children are: Kenneth Robert Nell who was born on August 16, 1969, and Christine Lee Nell who was born on February 15, 1972.

b) Linda Ann Bowman who was born on February 21, 1947. She married Robert Eugene Hulbert on June 29, 1968. He was born on December 28, 1933. Robert and Linda lived at 94 Denver Dr., Poland, Ohio. They had one son by the name of Eric Bradley Hulbert who was born on June 17, 1971. Eric graduated from Poland Seminary High School in Poland, Ohio in 1989. He then went into the army and he completed his basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on January 31, 1990.

Robert Eugene Hulbert had been married once before he met Linda Ann Bowman. He had children from this marriage and they are:
1.) Robert Allen Hulbert who was born on July 9, 1954.
2.) Renea Ellen Hulbert who was born on October 28, 1956.
3.) Melissa Ann Hulbert who was born on March 17, 1963.
Linda Ann Bowman and Robert Eugene Hulbert were divorced on April 18, 1983. Linda moved back to Columbiana, Ohio.

c.) Susan Allynn Bowman was born on November 7, 1950. She married Kemit A. Chamberlain on April 4, 1970. He was born on April 1, 1944. Their children are: John Allen Chamberlain who was born on March 12, 1977, and Erica Lynn Chamberlain who was born on April 7, 1979.

Susan and Kermit live at 5270 Lower Elkton Road, Leetonia, Ohio. They own 1.210 acres that the house sets on. The house was built in the year of 1973. They also own 1.21 acres of land.

d.) Lee Edward Bowman, Jr. who was born on September 15, 1956. He married Pamela Sue DeTunna on June 11, 1977 at the First Presbyterian Church in Columbiana, Ohio. Pamela was born on February 19, 1956. Her father is Fedoro DeTunna. Lee Edward and Pamela Sue Bowman's children are: Adam Lee Bowman who was born on October 17, 1983, and Lisa Kathleen Bowman who was born on January 4, 1991.

Lee Edward and Pamela Sue Bowman, Jr. live at 41973 Kelly Park Road, Leetonia, Ohio. They own 1.24 acres and the house on it was built in 1981. It is a one story house.

On December 14, 2001; Wanda Lee Bowman, Lee Edward Bowman, Jr.'s mother; signed over her house and the land it sets on. The house was built in 1952 and is a 1.50 story house. The address is 847 Fairfield Ave., Columbiana, Columbiana County, Ohio. Wanda gave the vacant land next door to her house that she owned to Lee Edward Bowman on July 22, 2002. I believe that Wanda still lives in her house.

Lee Edward Bowman, Jr. (we call him Little Lee), is the pitcher during a baseball game at the Bowman Reunion on August 16, 1981.

Naomi Pauline Bowman who was born on May 27, 1927. She married Charles Morris Morlan on October 10, 1948. He was born on October 2, 1923. They owned seven different properties. The first one was where they lived. It was 6391 St.Rt.#45, Lisbon, Ohio. The house was built in 1895 and had 20 acres with it. It was a general farm. The second property was 0.190 acres of vacant land. I believe it was next door. The third property was 0.140 acres of vacant land that I believe was next door also. The fourth piece of property was at 40520 Church Hill Road, Lisbon, Ohio. It had 23.270 acres with it. It doesn't say anything about a house. The fifth piece of property is at 40523 Church Hill Road, Lisbon, Ohio. It is a general farm. The house was built in 1900. There are 19.950 acres with this property. The sixth piece of property is vacant land. There are 91.340 acres. It is on Church Hill Road, Lisbon, Ohio. And the last piece of property is vacant land. It is on Church Hill Road, Lisbon, Ohio. There are 52.300 acres.

They have one son and he is Mark Victor Morlan. He was born on February 25, 1954. He married Karen Lynn Brian on February 28, 1975. She was born on August 23, 1960. Their children are:
a.) Mark Allen Morlan who was born on September 30, 1975.
b.) Gregory Scott Morlan who was born on May 26, 1977.
c.) Benjamin Joseph Morlan who was born on February 14, 1981.
d.) Christopher Lee Morlan who was born on September 21, 1982.
e.) Nikki Lynn Morlan who was born on June 13, 1989.
f.) Brian Travis Morlan who was born on January 28, 1993.

Charles Morris Morlan's parents are John Charles Morlan who was born on September 16, 1903 and Leora Moms who was born on July 27, 1903. She died in May of 1986. John Charles Morlan was an electrician at the Standard Electric Co. They lived on State Route 517, RD#5, Lisbon, Ohio.

Dale Wayne Bowman who was born on December 11, 1928 in Lisbon, Ohio. He was a lifelong area resident. He married Grace Irene Robb on April 11, 1959. She was born on January 7, 1936. Dale Wayne Bowman had been a glass cutter at the Russell Co. in Columbiana, Columbiana County, Ohio and a machine operator for Landmark Foods, Inc. in Columbiana, Columbiana County, Ohio for 26 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Jacob's United Church of Christ. Their children are:

a,) Glen George Bowman who was born on January 28, 1962 with his brother Gerry Jack Bowman. Glen married Melinda Lee Rouse on October 12, 1985. She was born on May 1, 1964. Their children are: Brandi Lee Bowman who was born on July2, 1990; and Joshua Michael Bowman who was born on April 3, 1993. Melinda's father is Larry E. Rouse. Glen and Melinda live at 7274 Lower Elkton Road, Lisbon, Ohio. They own three properties at this location. The first property has a house that was built in 1997. They own 2.500 acres on this property. The second property has a house built in 1983. They own 0.805 acres there and the third property is vacant land and they own 10.775 acres there.

b.) Gerry Jack Bowman who was born with his twin brother Glen George Bowman on January 28, 1962. He married Barbara Ann Rebuck on October 3, 1981. She was born on September 19, 1962. Their children are: Jenny Lynn Bowman who was born on October 24, 1982; and Scott Allen Bowman who was born on December 19, 1984. Barbara Ann Rebuck's father is Lawrence Rebuck. Gerry and Barbara live at 7410 Lower Elkton Road, Lisbon, Ohio. They own 10.960 acres and the house was built in 2001 and is a one story.

c.) Ted William Bowman who was born on January 18, 1968. Ted married Claudia J. on September 17, 1994. Ted and Claudia J. live at 333 West Lauder Ave., Warren, Ohio. They own 25.559 acres of vacant land on Moms Road, Lisbon, Ohio.

Grace Irene Robb's father is William Gilbert Robb and her mother is Mary Irene Lamonache. They owned an 75 acre general farm on Road 886, RD#2, Leetonia, Ohio. Their children are: Grace, Betty, Eugene, Carl, Richard, Mary and Shirley.

Dale Wayne Bowman died at 1157 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 1994 at the Salem Community Hospital following a brief illness. He was 65 years old. Services were held for him three days later at his church with the Rev. Jerry L. Pearson at church officiating. He was buried beside his mother and father in the Clarkson Cemetery, Columbiana County, Ohio. Dale and Grace lived at 7410 Lower Elkton Road outside of Lisbon, Ohio. Grace lived there for a while after Dale died.

Anna Ruth Bowman who was born on November 30, 1934. She married Thomas Lee Faulk on September 7, 1958. He was born on February 15, 1834. His father is Paul Marquis Faulk and his mother is Louise Williams. Anna and Thomas had one daughter and she is Victoria Ann Faulk. She was born on June 30, 1962. She married Robert Henry Potesta on March 22, 1986. Their children are: Rachael Potesta; and Paul Michael Potesta who was born on June 26, 1990.

Robert Henry Potesta's father is Eugene M. Potesta.

Victoria and Robert lived at 763 Columbia St., Leetonia, Ohio. I got this off of the Columbiana County Auditor site on the Internet about Victoria. Victoria Potesta lives at 39441 St.Rt.#558, Leetonia, Ohio. She owns two properties there. The first one has a house that was built in 1970 and is a one story. She owns 2.440 acres there. The second property is vacant land and it is 1.856 acres.

Anna and Thomas live at 41017 State Route 517 outside of Lisbon, Ohio. They have a Grain or General Farm with 130.00 acres. The house was built in 1886 and is a two story building. Thomas and Anna also own three other properties. The first one is vacant land and is five acres. The second one is also vacant land and is 38.500 acres. The third one is vacant land but is used for 250 Oil and Gas Rights-Separate Royalty Int. Royalties are by Columbia Gas Transmission Corp.

Anna was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and painting outdoor scenes. She also was a member of the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ.

Anna Ruth Faulk passed away at 6:26 am., Thursday, August 8,2005, at Northside Medical Center following an extended illness. Anna had Diabetes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8,2005 at Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ready officiating. Burial will follow at East Camel Cemetery.

Willis Christian Bowman who was born on January 16, 1940. He married Sheila Poe on May 22, 1960. She was born on July 5, 1940. Her father is Lester Andrew Poe and he was born on January 22, 1904. He lived in Calcutta, Columbiana County, Ohio. He married Mary Gwendolyn Carter and she was born on November 24, 1920. She died on March 26, 1946. Lester died in July of 1981. He died in East Liverpool, Columbiana County, Ohio. Lester and Mary's children are: Richard Norman Poe who was born on March 15, 1939; and Sheila Poe.

Willis and Sheila have a son and his name is Steven Allen Bowman who was born on July 1, 1961. He married Teresa Loupe on August 18, 1984. Steven and Teresa have a son who is John Steven Bowman and he was born on May 21, 1995. Steven and Teresa live in Schriever, Louisiana.

Willis and Sheila live at 40085 Crestview Road, Leetonia, Ohio. They own 16.588 acres and the house was built in 1900. The land use is 101 Cash-Grain or General Farm.
