California - 4,500 feet
At 4,500 feet of sea level rise, the Sierra Nevada mountain range still stands tall along the eastern border of the state. The Mendocino, Trinity, Klamath and Shasta National Forests are now forming into island chains. The Los Padres National Forest has been reduced to about 400 square miles of islands. The San Bernardino area is about 300 square miles with smaller islands to the west and south.
