The Sierra Nevada mountain range is still the largest land mass running from Stanislaus National Forest to the southern portions of the Kings Canyons National Park. The Cascade range, behind the Sierra’s is now two , slender islands. The San Bernardino mountain range still peaks above the water line with their highest elevation being 10,064 feet above sea level.
